Gum mix system

Conventionnel (GB-CXC-110)

GB-CXC-110 is a functional gum system that provides viscosity, body and mouth-feel to protein-rich beverages. This food additive preparation will also provide stability to beverage suspension.

Organic

This organic gum mix is a functional system specially formulated to provide viscosity and body to high-protein organic beverages. Primarily composed of organic guar gum and organic chia protein, this blend is certified organic and contains no allergens. With a recommended use level as low as 0.1% to 1.25%, this food additive preparation will also provide stabilization and improved suspension action in beverages. The mix can be widely used in meal replacements, rice, almond and soy beverages, as well as protein shakes and smoothies.

GB CXT-200

GB-CXT-200 is a functional gum system formulated to provide viscosity and body to beverages with high protein content and to stabilize their suspension. The unique feature of this system is that is doesn’t contain carrageenan; the mix is composed of cellulose, xanthan and Tara gums (recently approved by Health Canada). It is used in meal replacements, rice, almond and soy beverages, as well as in protein shakes and nutritional drinks. This product is also ideal to use in dairy products with low fat content.

BMS is a 100% natural dry mix, designed to mask the undesirable flavours and off-notes of ingredients such as vitamins and minerals in all types of products. The use of BMS can mask the bitterness of fruits and legumes. It is particularly effective in providing a neutral taste to soy, peas, almonds and rice in high protein beverages and nutrition bars. This product is easily soluble in cold water.

Bitter Masking System (BMS)

BMS is a 100% natural dry mix, designed to mask the undesirable flavours and off-notes of ingredients such as vitamins and minerals in all types of products. Protein Mixes

Gluten free

A unique, functional blend of plant proteins consisting of soy protein isolate, pea protein, hemp and chia. With a protein content of 80%, this mix is specially designed for high protein bakery applications and gives the product a high nutritional value. Soy protein provides very respectable doses of vitamins B and E, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and iron. Pea protein has a good amino acid profile, including many branched-chain amino acids that are well known to decrease muscle breakdown after workouts. Hemp protein is also a quality source of arginine and histidine, necessary for growth, and is a good source of branched-chain amino acids needed for the repair and growth of low-fat tissue. Chia protein is an excellent source of Omega-3, rich in antioxidants, and a source of fibre, iron and calcium. This protein mix is widely used for making breads, cookies, muffins and other baked goods, and is guaranteed gluten free, dairy free and egg free. Added to food gum, this protein blend also helps strengthen structure and improve texture.

For cookies

A unique, functional mixture of vegetable and dairy proteins. With a protein content of 80%, it is specially designed for high protein bakery applications, especially for cookie making. Used as a total or partial replacement for flour, this mixture improves texture, increases volume, retains moisture and adds tenderness. This protein blend can be widely applied to making breads, cookies, muffins and other baked goods, while ensuring that it is gluten and egg free. Added to food gum, this protein blend also helps strengthen structure and improve the appearance of the finished product.

Cocoa substitute

Nexxus Foods has developed several cocoa substitutes for different applications such as beverages and bakery products. The mixes are designed to replace up to 50% of the cocoa powder without affecting functionality, taste or colour. Used in conjunction with cocoa powder, it prolongs cocoa powder and reduces the cost of ingredients. The use of a cocoa substitute reduces the heavy metal content. Nexxus Foods also offers a lactose-free formula.
